Our Construction Build Ups Template provides a large range of different construction assemblies and build ups that can be adjusted to suit all sorts of different domestic and residential projects.
The external envelope build ups are intended to meet the following Notional Dwelling Specification U-Values from Approved Document Part L of the English Building Regulations:
- Ground Floors: 0.13 W/m2K
- External Walls: 0.18 W/m2K
- Roofs: 0.11 W/m2K
This Construction Build Ups Template should be used as a starting point to develop robust project specific build ups in collaboration with the design team, contractor, subcontractors and manufacturers. Project specific U-value calculations and condensation risk calculations should always be obtained during the design process.
